About Dr. Deneen

Dr. Shana Spector Deneen earned a doctorate of Naturopathic Medicine and graduated cum laude from the Southwest College of Naturopathic Medicine. In order to bridge the best of both Eastern and Western medicine, she also completed a Masters of Science in Acupuncture. Dr. Deneen is also a member of a medical advisory team offering nutritional support and educational guidance to women struggling with PCOS, insulin resistance, and diabetes.
Dr. Deneen’s experience includes extensive community service. After earning a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from the University of Arizona, she worked with the National AIDS Fund Americorp, participating in HIV testing and counseling. Embodying her belief that all women deserve primary care medicine, prior to medical school she was a health educator in the women’s prison system.
Dr. Deneen’s specialties include women’s health, weight loss, acupuncture, and the prevention and management of chronic disease. She utilizes nutritional supplementation, hydrotherapy, botanical medicines, acupuncture, and comprehensive diet and lifestyle modifications to bring patients toward optimal health.
