About Dr. Elliott

Dr. Elizabeth Elliott received a Doctorate in Naturopathic Medicine, as well as a Masters of Science in Oriental Medicine, from the National College of Natural Medicine in Portland, Oregon.
Prior to her time at NCNM, Dr. Elliott worked at an alternative high school for at-risk youth, providing community service-based outdoor education to students who had not been successful in the public school system. The experiences she had with her students were transformative, and left her with a clear sense that her future path would include a health-related career. Her love for working with people, combined with a prior education in herbal medicine, led her directly to both Naturopathic and Chinese Medicine.
Throughout her six years at NCNM, Dr. Elliott worked in local community clinics providing medical care to underserved populations, including homeless youth and recovering drug and alcohol abusers. She is a passionate proponent of preventive medicine education and services becoming accessible to all.
In addition to her formal schooling, Dr. Elliott has had additional training in Five Element Acupuncture and Qi Gung, having spent a month in China furthering her knowledge in the Jin Jing Gong school lineage. From these trainings she learned that every person and their ailments are unique, and that a key to understanding disease patterns in the human body lies in understanding the patterns of nature as a whole.
Dr. Elliott’s specialties include anxiety, depression, pediatrics, adolescent medicine, women’s health, and oncology. As her primary tools for treatment she uses acupuncture, both Chinese and Western botanicals, nutrition, homeopathy, and physical medicine. She has the same goal for all of her patients: to identify and treat the root cause of disease and imbalance, and help them live their lives joyfully and to their fullest potential.
